By the pricking of my thumbs...

Something wicked this way comes.

...then rang the bells, both loud and deep, God is not dead, nor doth He sleep
.

More fun with photo editing and self portraiture. Inspired by the original scary Disney movie with Jonathan Pryce as the villain, Mr. Dark (below).

Mr. Sable, the alias I've been using for about 15 years now, is a bit of a play on "Mr. Dark".

I also did these up today:

I had a very creative and productive day.

More caricature work

Ngozi Paul, actor and producer for "Da Kink in my Hair", a Showcase & Diva TV show (formerly Global TV) I've recently taken a liking to. She's a super cool and interesting lady.

She was going to introduce herself as "Dark Nymph" but thought that'd sound stupid.
This is my pal, Jenn. She's one of them goth types, but also a WWI history buff. This was done up for her birthday.

And this is my pal, Randy.

In the details.

I thought I'd make a period gig poster for set dressing in my Film Noir, inspired by a specific one in the movie "Idlewyld", which I'm certain was inspired by old Cab Calloway or Cotton Club posters. It'd be just the sort of thing the characters in the film would go see.

A blowup of a screen capture of the original in the movie "Idlewyld".

To give it a more period feel, I gave the singer Betty Boop eyes.

This sort of thing in the background goes a long way to establishing setting even though no one will really pay attention to it.
